"If there was one word that could describe my life it would be "yo-yo." My weight has always fluctuated. With that, came self image issues and hating my body. I was always the taller, more curvy girl out of my friends and I didn't know how to cope with that.
I've spent most of my life on a diet and came to the realization that I needed a lifestyle change - not just a temporary solution. I'm a self-proclaimed foodie and baker, and I was sick of missing out on the different foods and dessert recipes that were out there. That's where Kinda Fit Kinda Fat™ came in. They helped me realize that I can enjoy my favorite foods (in moderation) but can work it out in the gym too!
KFKF stands for what I believe in and that is balance.
For me, balance is to be a food fatty AND keep an active lifestyle. I'm just like guac, I'm extra. I want to throw it down with tacos and hot wings, but also be able to push myself physically in the gym with deadlifts and squats.
To all my curvy girls who have struggled with self image, look at yourself in the mirror, keep your head up high, and rock it! As my boo Drizzy says, "YOLO" eat that yummy slice of Red Velvet cake with that steak and then sweat it out. Put out the best version of yourself and don't succumb to "normal standards." You don't have to make anyone but yourself happy.
