KFKF Medical Relief Initiative

Kinda Fit Kinda Fat: Medical Relief Initiative

Who would have thought that the cancellation of the Arnold earlier this month, would only be the taste of what was to come in the following weeks. Our staff for the most part, was able to handle the fall out of that major event, but little did we know that it was only the beginning.

As the weeks went on, members of our team started to take measures to ensure the safety of not only the persons in the warehouse, but also persons that we were sending packages out to.

This whole epidemic really hits close to home for the KFKF staff and community. 80% of our staff currently work in the medical field in their respective areas. What most people don’t know is that the Kinda Fit Kinda Fat company started with a group of friends during their time at Loma Linda University.

What started as a fun handle in IG that our founders identified with, blew up into what it is today. We empathize with the medical professionals dealing with the growing epidemic, not only because we can see the growing struggle. It is also due to the fact that many of our own staff and members of the KFKF tribe have been experiencing this difficult time at their respective facilities first hand.

The Kinda Fit Kinda Fat Tribe has always aimed to be a beacon for inclusivity, community, and strength. People from all walks of life have come together to form an incredible community under one message. We believe in this message wholeheartedly, and even more so now as the cornerstone to be able to overcome this hurdle together. Through these recent events, our lives have drastically changed, but our message doesn’t have to.

Here at Kinda Fit Kinda Fat, we are exercising our due diligence in practicing much of the same by limiting the amount of contact each package receives during handling. We implore all of you to practice social distancing, safety precautions including but not limited to hand washing, and to encourage those within your community to do the same.

Currently there is an unprecedented shortage of protective equipment for the country’s medical staff fighting this pandemic on the front lines. In response to this, Kinda Fit Kinda Fat is launching a Covid-19 Medical Relief Initiative. To kick start the program, the KFKF team will be donating over 1,000 masks, and other protective equipment to local hospitals in need to support our healthcare workers in their fight against this pandemic.

In hopes of continuing this project, 100% of all proceeds from this week’s newly released “baked goods” as well as a portion of ALL sales will be used to fund this initiative to help us provide more protective equipment and support to medical staff in need.

We are extremely humbled and grateful for the support our community continually shows us. From the bottom of our Kinda Fit Kinda Fat Hearts, we thank you.

We’re in this together 💪🏽 Stay safe, stay home, be kind....

we’ll catch you on the next bite! 💙
