“It is quite funny how fitting "Kinda Fit Kinda Fat" is for me. It is a known fact among my friends that I love to eat, and when I say love, we're talking about 5 pounds of crawfish easily on a Tuesday night at Boiling Crab!
Not only do I see food as a delicious necessity for sustenance, I see food as a universal language between people. As a professional gamer, I have traveled across the world and tried many cuisines from poutine in Canada, ramen in Japan, to mofongo in Puerto Rico. Although I was unable to fluently communicate with the locals, we were still able to connect over great food.
I think it would be safe to say my love for food is unmatched. However, I lack a lot of self control when it comes to food, and about three years ago, I weighed the most I've ever weighed. This was after months of traveling and competing in gaming tournaments. I could feel every pound gain with every piece of brisket I ate at Korean barbecue (KBBQ is the go-to food at tournaments). I decided to cut back on my portions and started going to the gym.
Now, people may roll their eyes when I mention that I cut back on my portions, but cutting back from 14 Popeyes chicken tenders to 5 is a big deal, to me at least! I go to the gym at least three times a week now and get my cardio in through Zumba.
I love the KFKF brand and lifestyle because at the end of the day, we’re not going to be our peak physical selves 100 percent of the time. But that doesn’t mean our self esteem and self worth has to suffer. The KFKF community understands that and it’s honestly a breath of fresh air.
My name is Sherry (Sherryjenix) and I’m a competitive esports gamer and a Popeyes chicken fan girl and I am KFKF.” - Sherry, Esports Gamer (Street Fighter), Popeyes Chicken Queen, KFKF Gaming Athlete.
