Our Mango Sticky Rice donut was inspired by the traditional Thailand dessert, Khao Neow Ma Muang (Khao Niew means ‘sticky rice’ in Thai while Ma Muang means ‘mango.’). This classic dish is typically prepared with a bed of glutinous (sticky) rice, garnished with thick, freshly ripened mangoes, generously drizzled with sweet coconut milk, and garnished with sesame seeds. Depending on the season, you may even find this dish paired with sweet mung bean or even durian! You can often devour this scrumptious tropical treat throughout Thailand and at your local Thai restaurant, especially when the pulpy mango fruit is in season! 

You freaking bet we do! After extensive R&D and many tastings later, we've perfected our Mango Sticky Rice recipe. This donut is created with our signature yeast base that uses a popular Asian technique known as Tangzhong. Originated from Japan, this method is utilized in milk breads and buns, resulting in fluffy pillowy dough. With our Tangzhong yeast dough, this donut is a perfect harmony of milky coconut creamy glaze, drizzle with sweetened mango puree, and sprinkled with crispy roasted sesame seeds -- guaranteed to leave you with a mouthgasm as we pay homage to an amazing Thai dessert.
