Here at Kinda Fit Kinda Fat, we firmly believe that every "body" is worthy of being valued, respected, and deserving of equal opportunities and representation. We continually push to be at the forefront of the fitness industry, working to create an inclusive community where you can be and SHOULD be proud of your body, no matter what stage of the fitness journey you are on.
That’s why we couldn’t be more proud to continue our 4th year as The Official Body Diversity Sponsor of USA Weightlifting! With aligning missions, we are honored to work in tandem with such an inclusive and prestigious organization. USA Weightlifting has made it a priority to make their sport available to “Anyone, Anywhere”, encouraging their community to embrace anyone with a passion for the barbell. As a member of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), USAW actively contributes to "building a better and more inclusive world" by inspiring and uniting through Paralympic activities. Moreover, USAW provides various Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) programs, working to ensure that the sport of weightlifting can truly be practiced by anyone regardless of their socioeconomic status, ethnicity, race, religion, abilities, sexual orientation, gender or size.
With the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games quickly approaching us, many USAW athletes are at the end of their 2026 season, marking the beginning of the official qualification period for LA28. “Hopefuls from around the world must compete in a multi-step of a minimum five events where they’ll register their totals for top snatch and top clean & jerk (at a single event) to move up the Olympic Qualifying Rankings (OQR)” (usaweightlifting.org). Qualification for LA28 will end at the 2028 Senior World Championships where announcements for highly anticipated Team USA will follow shortly after. With the USAW 2026 National Championships just ending last month, we are eagerly waiting for the finalized 2026 World Championships Team!
Together, we aim to continually strive to create and grow communities that foster safe and welcoming spaces that truly are for "Anyone, Anywhere." By continuing this partnership, we hope to increase awareness, support, advocate, and empower for body diversity to be recognized, valued, and respected all around the world for future generations to come.
